The Taylors lost baby Peter and 14 year-old Vera was very badly burned. Her sisters Doreen and Tina remember that terrible night and it is the first time they have talked about the trauma they endured.

It was a tightly knit community of ship builders and factory workers who worked hard in difficult conditions.
