Season 5

Gohan asks Bulma to make him a disguise so that he can continue to fight crime in the city without being recognized. Wearing his new outfit, the defender of justice makes his grand debut in the city by helping Videl thwart a gang of criminals.

Gohan teaches Goten and Videl how to fly. Goku continues his training in Otherworld while Piccolo and Vegeta prepare themselves to face him in the tournament. Vegeta is stunned to learn that young Trunks and Goten can already turn Super Saiyan.

Gohan and the gang knuckle down on their individual training regimens in preparation for the World Martial Arts Tournament. When the day arrives, everyone gathers on the tournament grounds, where a father and son meet for the first time.

While Gohan and Videl wait to take their preliminaries, Goku, Vegeta, and the others go to spectate the junior division, where Goten and Trunks effortlessly progress through each round until they face each other in the final round. The battle gets more intense. Goten and Trunks surprise the audience with advanced techniques. The fight between Goten and Trunks continues.

Mr. Satan plays off his defeat at the hands of the Junior Division champion. While Goku and the gang have an all-out feast, Trunks and Goten plan to get into the Adult Division drawing. A mysterious stranger approaches Goku, keen to fight him.

The adult division rounds finally begin! Piccolo must put his skills to the test against a mysterious opponent—but not before Krillin steps into the ring.

Spopovitch continues his savage assault on Videl, who refuses to admit defeat.

Goku and the others join the Supreme Kai in his search for Yamu and Spopovitch. As they travel, Shin explains what the devious duo were after and warns them of an ancient evil known as Majin Buu.

The evil wizard Babidi gives his henchmen a rough homecoming before turning on our heroes. Was this their plan all along?

To find Babidi, Goku and the others will have to fight their way through various opponents waiting on his ship. Vegeta steps up to handle the first stage, but Babidi uses magic to give his opponent the upper hand.

Back at the World Martial Arts Tournament, the crowd is getting restless. With most of the Z Fighters disqualified, Mr. Satan calls for a battle royale between the five remaining combatants.

As Dabura meditates to bolster his power, Number 18 gives it all she’s got back at the World Martial Arts Tournament. She can’t read Mighty Mask’s sporadic movements, but she refuses to go down without a fight.

Dabura emerges to face Gohan in a one-on-one battle. With Mighty Mask defeated, only Mr. Satan stands between Number 18 and the tournament’s prize money. Good luck Mr. Satan!

As Gohan struggles against Dabura, Babidi senses dissent among the Saiyans and sees an opportunity to add another powerful soldier to his ranks.

Under Babidi’s control, Vegeta goes on a destructive rampage vowing that the carnage will continue until Goku agrees to face him in combat.

The rematch between Goku and Vegeta heats up while Gohan and the Supreme Kai head to Babidi’s ship to confront the wizard face to face.

The Saiyan slugfest continues with every punch delivering more energy to the dormant Majin Buu. Time is running out for Gohan to stop the creature’s rebirth.

Majin Buu has been reborn. Will Goku and Vegeta be able to put aside their personal grudge to send him back to sleep for good?

Gohan uses what’s left of his strength to protect the Supreme Kai, and the Z Fighters find an unlikely ally in their fight against Majin Buu.

Vegeta and Majin Buu continue to fight. Goten and Trunks watch the battle unfold while Piccolo confronts Babidi.

Vegeta's sacrifice has left Majin Buu scattered in pieces but not defeated. As the creature regenerates, reinforcements arrive.

Bulma, Chichi and the others search for the last Dragon Ball so they can resurrect the people Vegeta killed. Meanwhile, Goku comes up with a plan to defeat Majin Buu.

Bulma resurrects the fallen spectators, and Goku rushes to ensure she doesn’t use up the rest of her wishes too soon. Buu continues his rampage and Babidi makes an announcement to the world.

Babidi reaches out to the people of Earth, demanding they give him Piccolo, Trunks, and Goten. If they don’t comply, Majin Buu will wipe out the population.

Gohan finds a new weapon in the Sacred World of the Kais. Goku struggles to teach Goten and Trunks the Fusion technique.

Trunks is sent on a special mission while Goku distracts Babidi and Buu with an earth-shaking display of power.

Trunks tries to locate the Dragon Radar while Goku continues to stall Majin Buu.

Free of Babidi's influence, Buu becomes more destructive than ever as he waits for the arrival of Trunks and Goten. Elsewhere, Gohan continues his training with the Z-Sword.

Goku’s time is running out to teach the boys the Fusion technique. Will they manage to master it before he’s forced to return to Otherworld?

Gohan has mastered the Z-Sword, but Goten and Trunks are still struggling with Fusion. Meanwhile, Majin Buu’s destruction is briefly put on pause.

Goten and Trunks complete their first successful Fusion. Will it be enough to defeat Majin Buu?

Gotenks and Majin Buu go head to head in an intense battle, but humanity is calling upon another hero to save them.

Gohan continues powering up with the Elder Kai while Goten and Trunks fuse into "Super Saiyan Gotenks." Mr. Satan and Buu add another member to their household.
