When plums are found in an armored car that was wrecked, Mike and Bob look for their robbery suspect - an Indian who operates a roadside fruit stand.

Mike and Bob go to a roadside diner in search of samples of dope that's been used on racehorses. An escaped killer appears on the scene. Trapped with the escaped killer, the Brannagan brothers pin their escape on a bowl of stew.

Connie Spencer must decide if she should turn ex-con Frank Lucas, her father, over to the police.

A mysterious gunman takes some pot shots at Bob. The Brannagans suspect a recently released convict they helped send to prison.

Diane hires Mike Brannagan to guard her sister while she tries to buy off a man who wants to marry her. Diane tells Mike that Kate is embezzling her money which is why she doesn't want her to marry. Then by a neat trick Diane locks Mike in a room. She gets to a telephone and informs her fiance where Kate and Mike are keeping her and that Mike is unarmed. She tells Mike that when her fiance arrives, he will kill Mike and their story will be that Mike was attacking her.

A jewel thief is murdered by two fellow thieves who make off with the loot. The Brannagan brothers get set to outrace two crooks to some stolen diamonds, but neither pair know where the gems are hidden.

A murderer takes his younger brother with him on his getaway. Bob thinks the youth may be a dupe, but Mike thinks both brothers are killers.
