Jagannath Mishra, a modest Banarasi, has grown bitter over the years ever since all of his children moved out of the house. However, a storm is on the horizon, that will change Jagannath's life forever.

Jagannath saves Purvi from drowning herself in the Ganga. Since she has nowhere to stay, Jagannath brings her home. Is this the beginning of a new friendship?

Babu sneaks into Jagannath's house to meet Purvi. However, Purvi's brothers also arrive there searching for her. Will she be found?

Purvi requests to stay at Jagannath's house for a few days. Purvi's presence causes arguments between Jagannath and his wife. What will happen now?

Jagannath finds out that Purvi ran away from home to escape her marriage. Will Jagannath kick her out of the house?

Purvi feels lost as she has nowhere to go when Babu breaks up with her. Meanwhile, Jagannath gets insecure about his position in the house. What will happen now?

Jagannath is distraught when he gets the news of his friend Viren's passing. Meanwhile, Purvi and Kusum search for a good photograph of Jagannath.

Kusum helps Jagannath deal with the loss of his closest friend. Purvi realizes the true meaning of love by seeing the older couple.

Jagannath's friend Viren makes him the nominee of his bank account right before his death. This decision infuriates Viren's family as they barge into Jagannath's house. On top of that, Jagannath announces that Viren wanted half of his property to be donated to a Kali temple. What will Viren's family do?

The receptionist at the hospital tells Purvi that Jagannath requires an operation and the cost of the operation would be around 2 lakh rupees. This puts Purvi under a lot of stress as she realises that Jagannath's family doesn't have that kind of money. Meanwhile, the neighbours discuss Jagannath and Viren's deal and some of them point fingers at Jagannath.

Kusum starts to get worried as she can't get in touch with Purvi and starts doubting her. Meanwhile, Purvi manages to sell her jewellery and collect the money required. How will Jagannath and Kusum react when they find out what Purvi did?

Jagannath gets discharged from the hospital and comes back home. Viren's son and his wife along with their neighbour, come to check on Jagannath but Purvi tells them off and asks them to keep their hypocrisy to themselves.

Purvi tries to help a bedridden Jagannath with his bedpan, but he feels uncomfortable about it. Jagannath shares the discomfort of his helpless state with Kusum when Purvi comes and consoles him.

Tripathi visits Jagannath and his wife and tries to use them for his publicity in front of the media. Meanwhile, Purvi's ex-lover comes to see her and creates a scene at the restaurant.

Purvi overhears Jagannath expressing his displeasure over Purvi's behaviour and gets upset. She decides to meet Babu at the cafe but is shocked to see Sachin there. Purvi tells Babu everything that Sachin had done behind his back, which leads to a fight between Sachin and Babu.

As Purvi goes out with Babu to spend time with him, Kashi's heart breaks in her absence. Upon her return, she gets confronted by Jagannath for coming home late but his heart melts soon enough.

Purvi leaves Jagannath's house after an exchange of emotional goodbyes. She waits for Babu in the court, wearing her wedding attire but Babu is nowhere to be seen. Will Babu ditch Purvi on the day of their marriage?

Purvi is devastated after she realizes that she has ben cheated on and her wedding is called off. Kashi gets violent with Sachin when he speaks ill of Purvi.

The family celebrates Holi with the holy fire. Purvi decides to burn her red dress and burn all the memories along with it. Jagannath, gives Purvi a few words for her journey going forward.

Jagannath's wife tells him to get over his past and stop associating Holi with sadness. Meanwhile, Kashi and Purvi bond, as they celebrate the festival of colours.

Jagannath and Purvi make a fresh start as friends. What does the future hold for both of them?

Things quickly turn sour when Jagannath's kids arrive in Banaras. Deepa and Alok are unhappy seeing Purvi in the house and decide to take a step to kick her out. What will happen now?

Deepa and Alok employ their tactics to kick Purvi out of Jagannath's house. Will they succeed in their efforts?
