Biography
Fady Elkholy is a talented filmmaker based in Cairo, Egypt, whose journey in the film industry began in 2018. With a passion for blending cultural heritage with contemporary narratives, Fady has directed over 9 projects, including shorts, documentaries, music videos, and interactive films. His work is characterized by innovative storytelling techniques and a deep commitment to showcasing Egyptian identity and culture.
Fady holds a degree in Applied Arts and Sciences from the German University in Cairo, with a strong background in media design, product design, and graphic design. He is the founder of Cartona Studios, where he has worked as a writer, director, producer, and editor for numerous projects. His debut short film, "Isis" (2024), which follows the story of an Egyptian female superhero gaining the powers of the goddess Isis, has already been submitted to major film festivals, and is planned to be screened in 2025 - 2026.
