Meja

Meja is one of Sweden's best-selling artists with sales of up to 2.5 million units. She has been collaborating with some of the world's best producers and writers including Billy Steinberg (Madonna, Pretenders, Celine Dion) Marty Frederiksen (Ozzy Osbourne, The Cult), Stephen Lipson, Annie Lennox, Simple Minds), Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) Anders Bagge (Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias) Eric Bazilian (Ricky Martin, Joan Osbourne), Jed Leiber, Jeff Barry and Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) to mention a few. She started her career in 1993 with the dance music project Legacy of Sound, where she co-wrote songs that later were covered by artists such as Destiny's Child and Jessica Simpson ("Woman in Me"). After two successful albums with the group, she left to pursue a solo career. Sony Music released her first self-titled album in 1996, produced by Douglas Carr.
