Sayali, a small girl is living happily a pampered life with her parents . The Muslim family neighbor, bring home a goat, which is to be eventually sacrificed. Sayali becomes very attached with the goat, whom she names Chaand, and is horrified when she finds that the goat has been brought not as a pet but a sacrificial animal. she runs aways from her house with Chaand, to save the life .
